I find it interesting that the folks that Jesus seemed to always get angry with when he was on earth were the religious leaders.

I also think it’s interesting that the folks who get turned off by organized religion share Jesus’ opinion – some (not all) religious people tend to forget that we are all fallen creatures in need of grace.

In this sermon, Matt Carter encouraged me by pointing out that the Gospel (literally the Greek work for “Good News”) is that God loves us, despite our may failings.  The Gospel is marked by love and grace, whereas religiosity is marked by judgment and hypocrisy.
